Did you ever have any doubt that we wouldn’t come up with a reason to drink at the end of tax season? After all we are Team Cocktail and with it being April 15th we figured everyone might want to try a new cocktail tonight to celebrate. In doing a little research I was quite surprised to find a a little drink called the Income Tax Martini. That sounds pretty much perfect for today, huh? So go ahead and kick your accountant to the curb, bust out your gin, vermouth, bitters, & orange juice and mix yourself a nice Income Tax Martini!
*Note: If you are an accountant you might want to drink a couple of these as you had a much rougher tax season than the rest of us!
Ingredients
2 Parts Gin
1 Part Dry Vermouth
1 Part Sweet Vermouth
2 Parts Orange Juice
1 Dash Bitters
Instructions
Grab your favorite shaker and fill it with ice. Add all the ingredients, shake the shit out of it, strain, and pour into a chilled martini glass.
Typically when we do a recipe we like to break it down by ounces. Well with it being the end of tax season I figured some people (accountants) may need to drink more than others, so I broke it down by parts. So go ahead and mix the parts anyway you want, either way be happy that tax season is officially over!
Cheers,
Team Cocktail
