I write this as I sit in my basement and wait out a Tornado warning. Growing up in the Midwest you get used to storms rolling through but it’s always good to be safe. So to the basement I go to ponder all the important things in life…like…I know there is a great drink called the Hurricane…I wonder if there is a drink for Tornados! And wouldn’t you know it…there is!
Here is a recipe I found for the Tornado Cocktail. While I’ve never tried it, sounds like it would be worth a shot or four. Considering it has 4 shots of liquor, it sounds like a drink that could cause quite a commotion! Sign me up!

TORNADO COCKTAIL
Tornado Cocktail
Tornado CocktailIngredients:
- 1 oz whiskey
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 oz rum
- 1 oz tequila
- cola
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3 ice cubes
Preparation:
- Stir the liquors with ice.
- Strain into a collins glass.
- Add sugar and stir again.
- Add ice then cola.
- Stir three times and serve with a straw.
Showed this page to the bartender yesterday and had her make one of these. Let me just say this drink can be summed up in 3 words:
