I feel like there are three types of travelers in this world. A) The person who just got home from vacation. B) The person who has their next vacation planned. Or C) The person who just got home from vacation and already has their next vacation planned.
Now unlike what you heard from your teachers growing up in school I believe that everyone should aspire to be a C. Why? You might ask. Well I think that life is best enjoyed if you work hard and play hard. Extensive research done at the University of Me has found that if people have a vacation to look forward to then they are more motivated, even at work!
The University of Me has been researching this since 2006. Some of you might recognize that year, as it was the inaugural year of the Team Cocktail Cruise. I started to notice that at the end of the cruise people started getting sad, which would then lead to a let down in the workplace. By making this an annual event it has really softened the blow of the last day on the cruise ship. Of course everyone is still sad, but everyone knows that if they want they are welcome back onboard the next year.
I like to think of my travel life as a sandwich. Take a Vegas trip sandwiched between two Team Cocktail Cruises and add an array of complimentary trips, such as Maui, Turks & Caicos, and Key West and you get one tasty vacation sandwich!
So if you don’t have a vacation planned do me a favor and book one. It can be a week, month, or years in advance it doesn’t matter. Trust me, with your next trip planned and your newfound motivation, your boss will thank me!
