A few months ago we entered a contest to become Marriott’s Paradise Beach Bloggers in their Resort to Romance contest.  Thanks to all of you that voted for us we won the contest and get the chance to blog for the Marriott Caribbean and Mexico Resorts!

We chose the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino as the resort & island that we will be blogging about.  This afternoon we will be making the 4.5 hr drive to Minneapolis where we will catch a flight tomorrow morning at 7am and make our way to Aruba!

This week we received our itinerary from Marriott and it looks amazing!  We’ll be doing a Jeep Safari where we will be going all over the island.  What better way to see Aruba than in a topless Jeep with the hot sun beating down on you, now that sounds like Paradise!

We will also be “attempting” to paddle board.  We should get some good, or rather pathetic, video of us as neither one of us has ever paddle boarded before!  No better place to try it than the calm waters of Aruba.

We will also have a day of adventure with De Palm Tours.  On this trip we will be snorkeling, taking banana boat rides, visiting a water park, and doing an underwater helmet walk. Sounds like a perfect day to us!

As it is Resort to Romance we will be taking a sunset catamaran sail with Red Sail Sports, and we’ll also receive a couples massage. We also get the opportunity to visit the oldest bar on the island, Charlie’s Bar.  Sounds right up our alley!
