Thirsty Thursday – Champagne Cocktail Recipes

It’s Thirsty Thursday, which happens to be one of our favorite days of the week!  Right before the weekend, everyone is in a good mood and ready to imbibe in some tasty cocktails.  Well today we have a special Thirsty Thursday dedicated to the New Years Eve Queen of drinks…Champagne!

Now I realize not everyone is a champagne drinker. But I have some recipes that are sure to change your mind about the bubbly.  Like a stronger drink that doesn’t look girly? You got it!  Want something a little more fruit…it’s coming at ya.  I hope you enjoy these recipes that include lots of tiny bubbles and are sure to make any New Years Eve party a blast!

Champagne
See this one is easy.  Just grab a glass, pour & consume! Well technically you don’t even need a glass. We don’t mind if you take it straight out of the bottle.  We’ve been known to drink a bottle of Dom out of a brown paper bag in the back seat of a car.  Good times!

Mimosa
Typically we reserve these for the morning after a big night out.  But we’ll make an exception for New Years Eve.

  • Champagne
  • Orange Juice

Grand Mimsoa
Add a little more liquor to your mimosa with this twist!

  • Champagne
  • 1 oz Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Grand Marnier

Kir Royale
Feeling fruity and like raspberry?

  • Champagne
  • 1/2 oz Chambord
  • Lemon Twist

Poinsettia
This couldn’t sound anymore holiday appropriate.  Tastes pretty good too, if your not totally sick of the taste of cranberry after having it for 3 straight days after Christmas!

  • 1/2 oz Triple Sec
  • 3 oz Champagne
  • Fill with Cranberry Juice

French 75
Here’s one with a kick of Brandy!

  • 1 1/4 oz Brandy
  • 1 1/4 oz Sweet & Sour
  • Fill with Champagne
  • Lemon Twist in a tall glass

Now you have a few options going in to your New Years Eve party!  Do you have a few favorite champagne drinks?  We’d love to hear about them!

Have a very happy New Year!

Cheers!
