A MATCH MADE IN VODKA HEAVEN!
Vodka, oh how we at Team Cocktail love it! It may be colorless and almost tasteless, but for those of us that drink it on a regular basis we know the differences. We can tell when we’re drinking a quality vodka, just like our Caribbean friends and rum experts can tell you the differences of rum. While we may not be certified as vodka experts, we should be. Hmmm…that has me wondering. How does one become a certified vodka expert? Guess we’ll have to look in to that. Now back to the point.
Those of you that follow us regularly know that our motto is “Travel Global, Drink Local” and so when we found out that there was a vodka maker just down the street from us, we just HAD to meet them. Of course we became instant friends and the guys at Clear10 Vodka in Olathe, KS were nice enough to let us see their bottling process in action and of course do a little tasting.

Clear10 vodka was the vision of three guys Todd, Chad & Ron who wanted a new adventure. So they set out to make a high quality vodka using local grains and naturally filtered water. Their backgrounds in farming, mixology, chemistry and 50 combined years of consuming quality (and not so quality) vodka is what has helped them create one of the best vodka’s on the market.

Clear10 is locally crafted in small batches and slow-filtered 10 times. It is free of additives which gives it an exceptional taste, clean finish and uncommon clarity. Trust me after several taste tests, both neat and in mixed cocktails I can attest the clean taste and quality. I’d say it’s as good or better than my very favorite vodka, Kettle One! Don’t believe me? Well they did just win their second Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. And those people really are vodka experts!

| Asian MAHito A refreshing drink created by Gene Mah, a real Asian!Ingredients: 2 oz. CLEAR10 Vodka 6-8 oz. Ginger Ale 2 Fresh Mint Leaves 2 Orange Slices Ice |

Preparation:
Muddle 1 mint leaf and 1 orange slice in the bottom of a pint glass. Fill glass with ice. Pour CLEAR10 Vodka slowly over ice. Fill glass with cold ginger ale. Stir and garnish with remaining mint leaf and orange slice.
