Top 5 Steakhouses – Las Vegas

We are currently in Vegas for a trade show and this got us thinking, what are the best steakhouses in Vegas? Here is a list that we compiled. Any we missed that are your favorite?

1. SW Steakhouse – Wynn – This steakhouse has a great view of the Lake of Dreams and gives you a perfect view to watch the water & light show that happens every 30 minutes (8:30pm-1am). The steaks are out of this world and if you are into celebrity spotting then this is definitely the place for you! In our few times going there we have seen Welterweight Champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. & NBA All-Star Kevin Durant.

Recommendations:
Appetizer: Oysters on the Half Shell
Soup/Salad: King Crab Soup
Entree: Bone-In Ribeye
Side: Au Gratin Potatoes

2. N9NE Steakhouse – Palms – Although the Palms isn’t as popular as it once was N9NE still remains one of our favorite steakhouses in Las Vegas. It’s got a modern, funky vibe that you rarely get at other steakhouses. We have never left this place disappointed. They serve a great Moscow Mule! It’s one of the few places in Vegas that serves the Mule as it is intended to be served…in a copper mug.  We assume most places don’t do this as you can carry your drinks everywhere, so I’m sure there would be a lot of stolen mugs.

Recommendations:
Cocktail: Moscow Mule
Appetizer: Oysters Rockefeller
Soup/Salad: Lobster Bisque/Caesar with Anchovies
Entree: Bone-in Filet Mignon
Side: Lobster Mashed Potatoes

             Harv with Chumlee at N9NE

Tip: After dinner ask the hostess for free passes up to Ghostbar. Enjoy a cocktail and a great view of the strip.

3. Stack – Mirage – We kind of stumbled on this place back in August when we were walking through the Mirage. We never planned to eat here, but we were hungry and were looking for a nice steakhouse, so we thought we would give it a try. We are sure glad we did! When we were in Vegas for Thanksgiving we decided to eat here again to make sure it wasn’t a one time fluke. The second time was just as good as the first!

The only steak I have ever and will ever order here is the 24oz Tomahawk Rib Eye Steak! I’m sure all of their steaks are amazing, but I have only ordered this one and would order it again in a heartbeat!

Recommendations:
Appetizer: Hot Rocks
Soup/Salad: Caesar Salad
Entree: 24oz Tomahawk Rib Eye Steak
Side: Baked Mac & Cheese

4. Vic & Anthony’s – Golden Nugget – This place is a great change up if you are looking for more of the “old school” Vegas feel. It’s a smaller dinning room, but if you have a larger group ask for a private room as the atmosphere is great and the servers take great care of you.  We’ve only been here once, but we always catch ourselves reminiscing about that old school atmosphere.

Recommendations:
Appetizer: Oysters Rockefeller
Soup/Salad: Lobster Bisque
Entree: Filet Mignon
Side: Au Gratin Potatoes

5. STK – The Cosmopolitan – If you’re looking for a steakhouse with a nightclub feel then STK is the place for you. This one makes the list due to the fact that it is so much different than any other steakhouse in Vegas. Loud music plays as you enjoy your food and the bar area turns into a dance club later in the night. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner then this isn’t the place for you.  Definitely a unique experience!

Recommendations:
Appetizer: ‘lil BRGRs
Entree: Bone-In Filet w/bearnaise
Side: Parmesan Truffle Fries

Other great steakhouses in Vegas:  Carnevino, Jean-Georges, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse.

Let us know your favorite steakhouse in Sin City.

Cheers!
