National Margarita Day!

Today, is National Margarita Day. To celebrate this very important Holiday, below you will find some of our favorite Margarita recipes.

Blueberry Lime Margaritas

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Blueberry Simple Syrup
  • ¼ cup Fresh Lime juice
  • 4 ounces Grand Marnier
  • 4 ounces Tequila
  • Blueberry Simple Syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup blueberries

Instructions

  1. 1. For the Blueberry

    Syrup: Bring everything to a simmer and let cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat.

  2. 2. Strain the syrup through a chinoise and reserve juice. Discard the blueberries.
  3. 3. Chill the syrup.
  4. 4. To make the drink, combine ice, the syrup, the lime juice and the liquor in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigourously and then pour into a chilled ice filled glass. Garnish with a lime slice.

Pineapple Margaritas

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup triple sec
  • 1 cup tequila
  • ice
  • salt for rim of glass
  • fresh pineapple and lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix juices, triple sec and tequila together until well combined. Rub rim of glass with a lime slice and dip in salt. Serve over ice and garnish with pineapple and limes.

The Classic Margarita

  • 1 Orange, Juiced
  • 10 limes, Juiced
  • 1/4-1/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup silver tequila
  • 1/2 cup cointreau (tripple sec)
  • ice

Instructions:

1.) Juice the orange and the limes, strain out the pulp into a 2 cup measure, add enough water to bring the liquid up to 2 cups, should be 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup

2.) Add your tequila and your cointreau, and stir thoroughly to combine. Garnish with a lime wedge.

As if you needed to have another reason to celebrate National Margarita day, we just gave you three.
